We are proud to support both Christina and Katie who are individually attempting to hike the entire Appalachian Trail this year.

We were happy to send both Christina and Katie off with some Appalachian Coffee and other merch to enjoy on the trail.
Meet Christina! She is our friend from Hendersonville, NC and is thru-hiking the #appalachiantrail ⛰🥾. If you are local to Hendersonville you might recognize her from the YMCA. She has inspired so many of us to get active and in shape! Christina and her husband Will are regulars at our coffee shop. ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Meet Katie (aka: Sunrise on the AT)!!
We first met Katie when she worked as a camp counselor at Camp Kanuga a few years ago when David (owner of Appalachian Coffee Co.) served as Camp Director. Sunrise is flip-flopping the trail and is moving entirely at her own pace. She shares “I can make a cup of coffee (or two) and there’s no pressure to ‘make’ miles.” We will share her journey with y’all on our Instagram stories now and then (her daily reels are fantastic🙌)!⠀⠀
Sunrise got her name from “signing shelter logs as Sunrise.” She said her dad had been “calling her this for awhile because, (she) is not a morning person.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
